Our nearly 150-year-old farmhouse is of the style called “Big House, Little House, Back House, Barn,” and has seen many changes in use through the years. Built in 1860 by Ira Kimball, and located on a quiet little park named for him, its first owner was a bootmaker named Asa Knight. It has been a funeral home and veterinarian’s office; once upon a time it was even a two-family home. Now it is both our home and a bed-and-breakfast offering two guest rooms.
| The Kimball Room is named for Ira Kimball who owned the land that now comprises Kimball Park. It features a queen bed and private bath with shower. |
| The Taylor Room, named for Faye Taylor, former owner and noted local artist, has a queen bed and private bath with a shower-tub combination. This is our family suite with space for 3 people. |
Both guest rooms feature comfortable chairs, closets, their own heating zones, reading lamps, hairdryers, shampoo, etc. Other travel conveniences we can offer include iron and ironing board, clock radio, and your choice of fan or air conditioner in the summer. We also have a portacrib and high chair available for an infant or toddler.
